TEHRAN -- The Persian version of American author Paul Auster’s “The Brooklyn Follies” translated by Khojasteh Kayhan will hit the Iranian market, the Ofoq Publications reported here Thursday.

The novel is about the 60-year-old Nathan Glass, who returns to Brooklyn after his wife has left him.

He is recovering from lung cancer and looking for a quiet place to die.

In Brooklyn, he meets his nephew, Tom, whom he has not seen for years. They develop a close friendship and Nathan experiences a strange realization that he can really mean something to somebody.

To Kayhan, the book is completely different from Auster’s other works and has an optimistic view of the world.

Auster’s other credits including “City of Glass”, “Ghosts”, “In the Country of Last Things”, “Oracle Night”, and “Leviathan” have been already published by the Ofoq Publications.
